“When after the egg retrieval is the embryo transfer done?  An embryo transfer is usually day 3 embryo transfer and done 3 days after the egg retrieval.”

Embryo transfer is done through assisted reproductive technology (ART).  When the embryo is transferred in the second day of fertilization, it is called day-2 embryo transfer and when done on the third day, it is referred to as day-3 embryo transfer.  In this procedure, one or two embryos are placed in the uterus of the women to establish pregnancy.
