Visiting Ukraine for Surrogacy
Most couples need to visit Ukraine during the surrogacy process two to three times. A typical scenario is below:
1st visit: Meeting the doctor and your personal coordinator, leaving sperm samples, passing the tests (if they were not done in home country), signing the contracts and meeting the surrogate candidates
2nd visit: If no egg donor is required, the intended mother goes to Ukraine for egg harvesting.
3rd visit: The much awaited birth; followed by processing the baby’s documents for the intended parents to bring home to your home country.
Commercial surrogacy in Ukraine is legal, and there are no complicated procedures for bringing the baby home after birth, since all contracts are signed by all parties involved at the start of the process. Often the last procedure of processing the documents only takes a week or two and then the baby can be easily brought home by the new parents.
